John’s Homemade Pickles
Equipment
- 1 Quart Jar
Ingredients
- 2 cup Water (Hot)
- 1 cup White Vinegar
- 4-6 Mini Cucumbers (Cut into spears)
- 1-2 tbsp Minced Garlic
- 1 tbsp Dill Weed
- 2 tbsp Salt
- 1 tsp Granulated Sugar
- 1 tbsp Whole Black Peppercorns
- 1 tbsp Onion Powder
Instructions
- Combine water, vinegar, salt, and sugar in your jar. Mix until salt and sugar are dissolved.
- Allow mixture to cool down to room temp.
- Add in the remaining ingredients. Empty a little of the liquid in the jar to accommodate the cucumbers if needed.
- Cover and place in the refrigerator.
- Allow the pickle mixture to sit in the refrigerator for 4-6 hours before eating.
Notes
Pickles should hold in the refrigerator for 4-6 weeks, although, they may not make it that long.
